Lyrics:
(verse 1)
Yesterday it rained
Watched everything wash away
It took some time to dry
Before I could feel okay
I used all my tools
Foundation of clay
You kept digging this hole
But climbing’s not my forte
(pre-chorus)
Take what you need
We can fight our enemies
But we have to hurry before
the world crumbles around us
(chorus)
Take my hand
We can build a land from the ground up
I don’t even mind
leaving it behind us
Watch and wait and work until it all falls down
can i just. like. abort and restart this week.
too much stuff is happening in it. much too much stuff.
Polina by Bastien Vivès
I always find this style of work appealing - it’s loose and gestural, yet it’s still well composed and clear. You can understand what the figures are doing in each panel with what appears to be a hastily drawn line. The ink looks like it was just thrown at the page, like each panel was drawn in an instant. But, each panel holds together. It doesn’t feel like the arrangement of the figures is sloppy, or that the negative space is awkward.
I don’t read or speak French, so I don’t really know what happens in the story, but this is a book I like to look at from time to time.

Hooray minecraft :D also I still have no freaking clue what homestuck is, tumblr seems to have mixed reactions about it but you seem to have fairly good taste from what I’ve seen of your blog, so would you recommend I read it or avoid it?
uhhhhh
so
it’s a mixed reactions kind of thing. it’s a 7000+ page webcomic about kids doing stupid and increasingly disastrous bullshit in real life sims.
this one time i got the flu and was too miserable to get out of bed and i spent three days solid reading it all. i kept laughing obnoxiously but when my housemates came to see what was so funny it was almost always impossible to explain what’s going on, because the plot is the kind of thing that’d happen if doctor left time travel plot hooks dangling everywhere and kept walking into them by accident. there are at fuckton of characters, some of them wriite iin kiind of annoyiing way2, and the creator is a massive troll who enjoys word games and misdirection a lot.
if that sounds fun to you then, yeah, definitely, read it: there’s an entire story arc where one bunch of confused and angry teenagers are travelling backwards in time relative to the guys they’re getting to know in another universe, and it has some of the funniest and most charming character writing i’ve ever seen and the best denouement ever. i love it for being a huge complicated mess of a story that keeps pulling clever plot twists out of nowhere, and if you fancy reading it i’d love to hear your opinions because watching people liveblog homestuck is basically the funniest thing ever, but it’s huge and weird and has a really weird sense of humour
It’s 2013 and I’m going to try and start posting GIFs again, so lets start with some Homestuck Fan Animation (x)
casually stalks other people’s homestuck tags

the conversation i had with my server player the friend who got me to give the game a go went kind of like this:
friend: hey i really like this game & this custom map looks AMAZING i’d really enjoy playing it with you!
me: minecraft. uh. that’s the thing with the pixels and people make houses and stuff?
and. like. it’s a genuinely really fun and immersive world, and it’s got the tone of homestuck and this enormous sandbox feel to it that feels exactly like what was happening offscreen in the comic - and same as with homestuck - this is just something someone made for fun and put online.
what i’m getting at here is more or less just: the internet is fucking amazing, i love living here.
